Displaced worker in Silly con Valley

Here's my story.  This is my first post on 9/20/13.  I've been meaning to blog for a long time and have but haphazardly.  I am a senior citizen.  I will be 60 this November.  I was laid off on Friday, Sep 13 from a large multinational here in Silicon Valley, CA.  I am now officially unemployed.  Since my wife and I were living paycheck to paycheck any interruption in income threatens our  very lively-hood.   There was no severance from the company since I was a contractor.  I've applied for unemployment and hopefully i will get some and if I do it will be half of what I was making which wasn't much to begin with.  Anyway right now I'm preparing to file for bankruptcy because after this month we will not be able to make our bills.  We have been carrying our bills since the bubble and never have been able to pay them down due to my income never having recovered.  Today is a friday.  Fridays use to feel like Fridays but now they have no feeling.  Every days is just a day and to tell you the truth I like it much better like this.  I have been checking my social media, email, etc.  and there no contacts.  No one cares, no one knows me anymore.  I am now an old man and no one cares of course - I expected this so I am prepared.  i was the same way when i was younger.  as you can see my narrative is not the best - i am not really a writer and/or perhaps my brain was damaged in my youth. When you get down to this last gasp all you think about is paying the rent - forget evry other bill you just need to make the rent so we don't end up on the street.
